The suggested fabric cut includes 3 inches / 7.6 cm on every side. This is a full-coverage chart: the pale background is stitched, rather than left as bare fabric. The PDF lists 4,110 stitches in Blanc, so include that background in your thread planning.

From kitten artwork to a stitch pattern

Preparing your floss

Organize all 18 threads from the PDF key before you begin. Its palette includes pinks for the bow and flowers, greens for the leaves, and several pale and dark shades for the kitten. The key lists DMC 53 and 105 as variegated threads; compare these with physical floss or a thread card, since a single screen swatch cannot show the full variation along a strand.
